“What do you really want?”
“To be happy. But I don’t think I know how to anymore.”

And yet, we are to believe that Chuck made her the happiest? That she’s the one who has to fight for him? That he’s the one that waited for her? Logic’s completely useless when it comes to dealing with this show, isn’t it?

"In the blink of an eye, five years of character development has fallen by the wayside; Serena’s back to being a selfish, self-medicating party girl; Lily has tossed away yet another marriage (to her soulmate, this time) at the first sign of difficulty; Bart Bass has returned, every bit as terrible as he was before; Chuck is once again incapable of recognizing a woman’s worth; Nate has yet another interchangeable love interest; and Dan is yet again on the anti-Upper East Side bandwagon, relying on Georgina Sparks to facilitate a take-down. Why, exactly, have we wasted half a decade watching these characters evolve, if devolution is seemingly so easy?"

I just want to know what the point of 5x17 was. That’s all.

scarletglasses:

Why did she waste Dan’s time? It’s because she knew he loves her for her, unconditionally, and she thought she could take advantage of that.

I’m really glad Chuck rejected her, not because I’m bitter, but because Blair seriously needs to sort out her priorities.

“I feel like a weak little girl with him, I forgot what joy felt like, I lost myself, I don’t want to be in anyone’s shadow.”

This is just a fucking joke.

Please stop showcasing these kinds of female characters where the target audience comprises young female adults. If you’re going to do that, at least show them getting some conclusion, some redemption.

I don’t even care about ships, I just hate the message it’s sending.
